Program Coordinator
Responsible for the daily operations of the designated Branch. Primary Concerns:
  • Programs and service delivery
  • Education and sports
  • Supervision and on the job training of staff and volunteers
  • Program Management
  • Community Relations
  • Memberships Administration
Establish programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success. Ensure that facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained. Manage necessary administrative functions and assigned resources. Promote and market programs to the members. Insure that the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s Youth Development Strategy is utilized in planning all programs and activities, enhancing the potential for developing a sense of competence, belonging, usefulness and influence. Insure objectives are written for the education program areas that are consistent with organizational goals and mission. Submit timely and accurate reports. Consult with parents concerning member issues. Ensure a productive work environment. Develop partnerships with parents, school, community leaders and organizations. Part-Time Activity Leader
Contribute to planning, developing, implementing, evaluating programs, and activities. Maintain records for membership intake, applications and number sheets. Intake membership monies following all procedures. Ensure all members understand and play activities following rules and regulations. Supervise program space areas. Part-Time Tutors
Provide instructional support to students aged 6-18, Monday-Thursday, 3:30-6:30. Communicate progress/concerns with parents on a weekly basis with plan of action for improvements. Also, establish a communication system with the teacher to identify student needs and future plans. Provide hands-on and higher order thinking skill activities to ensure that children are reaching their highest potential. Ensure a positive, rich and FUN learning environment including developing incentives, awards, and special recognition. Maintain individual portfolios for each student to demonstrate progress/areas of concern. Maintain accurate and meaningful reports on student’s progress in a timely basis. Implement BGCD programs as enrichment tools that are appropriate and supplemental to current school curriculum. Structure a physical environment that is conducive to learning. Provide a variety of planned learning experiences using a variety of media & methods in order to motivate students and best utilize time for instruction. Provide positive leadership to students by developing mentor/mentee relationships. Establish & maintain efficient standards & procedures for student behavior. Participate in professional development opportunities to improve the instructional support & guidance provided to students.
