Part-Time Maintenance 

Part-time position maintaining and repairing the buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Repair and replace property and equipment as needed.
  • Drive, maintain, and manage vehicle's condition and recommend repairs.
  • Implement/recommend maintenance/repair on all HVAC units.
  • Pick up donations of donated supplies and equipment.
Will be required to do routine maintenance and repair in various facility rooms / spaces / storage areas, on rooftops, and in crawlspaces / attics of buildings.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Skills in repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Skills and knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
  • Knowledge of proper tool usage and maintenance.
  • Requires substantial continuous/repetitive lifting.

Part-Time Front Counter Attendant

 
Responsible for the management of member attendance and records, planning, implementing, evaluating, and delivery of a broad range of programs. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily attendance records of all members and programs.
  • Perform secretarial functions for the Club Administrative Staff including typing letters, memos, reports, bulletins, and announcements for the supervisor's approval and signature.
  • Coordinate and maintain Club calendar of activities.
  • Serve as chief information receptionist, greeting visitors and responding to routine inquiries.
  • Serve as a resource to Club staff, members, parents, and to community members regarding Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Part-Time Driver

Operate the agency vehicles for safe pick up and delivery of members for the purpose of participating in the broad range of programs offered by our agency.
  • Must have High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with youth.
  • Ability to communicate with the general public.
  • Ability to read maps or mapping software and plan routes and trips.
  • Ability and knowledge to perform pre- and post-trip vehicles inspections.
  • Must have a CDL Driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement - Air Break Endorsement is a plus.

Part-Time Activity Leader

Contribute to planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities.  Maintain records for membership intake, applications, and number sheets.  Intake membership monies following all procedures.  Ensure all members understand and play activities following rules and regulations.  Supervise program space areas.  Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van.

Part-Time Tutors

Provide instructional support to students aged 6-18, Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm - 6:30pm.  Communicate progress/concerns with parents on a weekly basis with plan of action for improvements.  Also, establish a communication system with the teacher to identify student needs and future plans.  Provide hands-on and higher-order thinking skill activities to ensure that children are reaching their highest potential.  Ensure a positive, rich, and FUN learning environment including developing incentives, awards, and special recognition.  Maintain individual portfolios for each student to demonstrate progress/areas of concern.  Maintain accurate and meaningful reports on student's progress in a timely basis.  Implement BGCD programs as enrichment tools that are appropriate and supplemental to current school curriculum.  Structure a physical environment that is conducive to learning.  Provide a variety of planned learning experiences using a variety of media and methods in order to motivate students and best utilize time for instruction.  Provide positive leadership to students by developing mentor/mentee relationships.  Establish and maintain efficient standards and procedures for student behavior.  Participate in professional development opportunities to improve the instructional support and guidance provided to students.
