December, 2007 - A holiday craft party, held at the West Dallas BGC, where youth ages 6 – 13 have the chance to make Christmas gifts for their loved ones. Design firms design a craft and donate the supplies so that more than 300 children can participate in craft making activities, meet Santa, and enjoy refreshments, face-painting, etc. For information please contact Events Coordinator
OC/WD Christmas Gala & Auction
December, 2007 - For the past 12 years, the Oak Cliff and West Dallas Advisory Boards have joyously celebrated the holiday season with their annual Christmas Gala. The event, which is held at the INFOMART, features a dinner, music and auction. For information please contact Events Coordinator

Youth of the Year
January 18, 2007 - This is a dinner and awards ceremony, held at the Renaissance Hotel, that is part of a leadership/character development program. It honors youth who are involved in the Boys & Girls Clubs through daily attendance and participation providing service to the club, projects, maintaining good grades in school and overcoming difficult circumstances to become tomorrow’s responsible citizens and community leaders. The Dallas Youth of the Year goes on to compete with members from other Boys & Girls Clubs for the National Youth of the Year. This year's youth of the year is Alvin Jordan, Jr. Alvin went on to win the Area Council Youth of the Year competition and participated in this year's State Youth of the Year competition where he represented Dallas and North Texas as one of eight finalists for Texas Youth of the Year in Austin on February 26th-27th. Alvin is a thirteen year club member and plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the fall of 2007.
College Financial Aid Workshop
February 24 , 2007 - A practical step-by-step classroom experience for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in seeking financial aid for college. This one day class is well attended by club kids and their parents who leave with all the information and resources necessary to complete the FAFSA application and apply for scholarship money.
The Billiard Ball
March 2, 2007 - This event combines a dinner, awards ceremony featuring the Robert H. Dedman Lifetime Achievement Award, and an auction. Richardson Golf Classic
April 3 , 2007 - This annual event is held at the Canyon Creek Country Club and benefits the Richardson Boys & Girls Club. This 18-hole scramble tournament is in its 12th year. Invitations are sent to the Richardson community as well as business leaders in the community. Sponsorships are available in a variety of ranges and a “hole in one” contest is also part of this event. "All in for the Kids" - Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament
May 4, 2007 - On Friday, May 4, the “All in for the Kids” Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament will be held at Hotel InterContinental in Addison . This single elimination poker event will begin with a fabulous buffet and bar followed by the tournament. A table of ten is priced at $2,500. Single seats are available for $300. All food and beverage is included in the pricing. The tournament is limited to 300 players. A consolation bracket will accommodate players eliminated from the main event. The top ten finishers from both brackets will receive terrific prizes including hotel packages, airline tickets, gift certificates, to name a few. Additional buy ins will be available in both brackets for a limited time. MATH BLAZERS™
May 12, 2007 - This educational competition involves over 200 children who emerged as their club champs through a yearlong mathematics program designed to sharpen basic math skills at the third, fourth, and fifth grade levels. Education Directors in each of the 9 Dallas Club organize the teams and competition with the help of a program committee of ten. For information please Events Coordinator
Collegiate STEPS
June 1, 2007 - This dinner celebration pays tribute to the hard work of teens who will be among the first in their families to attend college. Overcoming family hardships and environmental pressures, these select teens have gained university acceptance and the necessary scholarships to make their dreams of higher education a reality. Boys & Girls Club Day for Kids
September 15, 2007 - With community partners including the City of Dallas Park & Recreation, Girls Inc., YMCA, YWCA, and others, BGCDallas presents America's Day for Kids. This year's sponsors include City of Dallas, Coca-Cola, Blickbuster, Wal-Mart, Amerigroup, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Kimberly-Clark, After-School All-Stars and Mars Inc. This fun-filled event celebrates kids and encourages communities to support our children by spending quality time with them doing something fun. Corporate Cup Golf Tournament
October 1, 2007 - The second annual Corporate Cup golf tournament will take place at the TPC at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. Teams representing some of the largest corporations in Dallas will compete for bragging rights. The day will begin early with breakfast and a shotgun start. The tournament will be followed by a cocktail reception and dinner. During that time a silent and live auction will be conducted featuring several fabulous items including trips, sports memorabilia, wine and a custom built Bentley golf cart.
