BGCD is proud to announce the Board of Directors has unanimously named Brian Slye as its new Chief Executive Office.
Slye is an accomplished business leader, community advocate, and proud former Club kid whose journey began at Boys & Girls Club of Burkburnett, Texas. It was there he first learned the values of discipline, teamwork, and possibility; all lessons that would shape not only his career but also his commitment to serving others. Now, decades later, Brian is deeply committed to passing that same sense of belief and opportunity forward.
In his new role, Slye will lead BGCD’s mission to ensure members have access to affordable, high-quality programs that support academic success, social-emotional development, and healthy lifestyles across North Texas.
“Brian is a proven leader with the vision, discipline, and heart needed to lead Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas into its next chapter,” Julie Jennings, chair of the board, said. “His experience growing organizations and building strong partnerships will be instrumental as we expand access to critical youth development services for families across our region.”
Slye most recently served as Vice President of Franchise Development and Marketing at Goosehead Insurance, where he led national expansion, organizational transformation, and a complete brand evolution that fueled sustainable growth. Prior to Goosehead, he spent more than 18 years with AT&T in senior leadership roles, including Assistant Vice President of Business Sales, where he built and scaled teams that drove innovation across enterprise sales, marketing, and operations.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Slye has devoted much of his life to youth and community development. As a long-time board member of the Spring Valley Athletic Association (SVAA), he founded and leads the SVAA Scholarship Program, which provides annual academic awards to graduating student-athletes pursuing higher education.
“I am honored to join Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and build on its 60-year legacy of serving North Texas youth,” said Slye. “The Clubs play a vital role in our communities by providing a safe, supportive place between school and home where kids can learn, grow, and thrive. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, Board, partners, and supporters to expand our impact and ensure even more young people have the opportunities they deserve.”
Brian holds an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the SMU Cox School of Business and a BBA from Texas Tech University. A devoted husband and father of four, he is passionate about leadership, family, and building pathways for the next generation to achieve their full potential, carrying forward the same spirit of hope and belonging that once changed his own life.
Slye succeeds Debra Taylor, who has served as Interim President & CEO. Under her leadership, BGCD celebrated its 60th anniversary, expanded Club capacity, and strengthened community partnerships across the region.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas currently serves thousands of youth annually across more than two dozen Club locations, providing affordable, accessible programming that helps young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
